OLD TOWN – Royal G. Waterman, 87, died March 11, 2007, at a Penobscot nursing home. He was born Jan. 12, 1920. Mr. Waterman served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he operated his own machine shop. He is survived by a sister, Ida Hunt of New York; two nephews, Robert Hunt of Ohio and Christopher Hunt of New York. A graveside service will be held at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town, later in the spring at a time to be announced by Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.
