HAMPDEN – Ruby Marie (Jordan) Matthews, 71, passed away April 4, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 12, 1936, in Hampden, the daughter of Richard C. and Shirley (Sabin) Jordan. Ruby lived in Hampden most of her life and worked as a waitress at Pine Tree Restaurant, Bangor, for many years, until its closing. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Regina Goode and husband, Loren, of Patten, Raymond Jordan and wife, Gloria, of Hampden, Nan-cy Goode and husband, Roger, of Hampden, and Richard Jordan Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Hampden; one aunt, Ruth Decesere of Bangor; one uncle, Ernest Hand of Carmel; many nieces, nephews and very close cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Shirley; and by a sister, Linda Goode, in 2006. The family thanks the staff of Eastside Rehabilitation and Living Center for their loving care of Ruby through the years. Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hamp-den.
