HOULTON – Ruth B. (Estes) Robinson, 84, died Oct. 13, 2007. She was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Levant, the daughter of George and Annie (Bulmar) Robinson. Ruth was a faithful member of Oakfield Seventh Day Adventist Church. She attended Bangor and Brewer schools, where she graduated from Brewer in 1942. She was a volunteer worker for Senior Citizens of Oakfield, as well as Dyer Brook Headstart for many years. Her favorite hobby was embroidery. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. Doughty and her husband, Everett, and Sharon R. Waznis, both of Smyrna; seven grandchildren, Everett B. Doughty Jr. and his wife, Amy, Michael P. Doughty and his wife, Vicky, Christopher W. Doughty and his wife, Susan, Julie M. Devlin and her husband, Mark, Christina L. Doughty, Timothy M. Doughty and Daniel Doughty; two brothers, Douglas A. Robinson of San Francisco and Lawrence P. Robinson of Brewer; one sister, Lois E. Robinson of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, George R. Robinson and Donald H. Robinson; infant, Donnie Robinson; two sisters, Ruby V. Kopcha, and Janet M. Faulkner. The family expresses a special thank you to Madigan Estate staff and Pastor Mark Harris. A memorial service will be held noon Sunday, Nov. 25, at Oakfield Seventh Day Adventist Church. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
