PRESQUE ISLE – Ruth (Garrity) Palmer Pelletier, 79, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at Caribou Nursing Home. She was born July 30, 1927, in Portage Lake, to the late Albert and Rosana (Sousie) Garrity. She enjoyed cooking, making crafts and dressing up to go dancing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Donald and Linda Palmer of Ashland, George and Laura Palmer of Caribou, Paul Pelletier and Debbie Avery of Ashland; two sisters, a brother and their spouses, Geneva and Edward Morin of Ashland, Hazel and Raymond Bushey of Clare-mont, Fla., Roger and Corinna Garrity of Millinocket; a sister-in-law, Anna Garrity of Bristol, Conn.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Leroy Palmer; and her brother, Albert Garrity Jr. There will be no visitation. A graveside interment service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. Mark’s Cemetery, Sheridan.
