ETNA – Ruth L. Raymond, 74, died Nov. 25, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 23, 1932, in Detroit, a daughter of Lee and Alma (Overlock) Elkins. Ruth has been actively serving the Lord since 1987. She attended the Jubilee Worship Center, Newport; formerly the Newport Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed crafting and was very talented. Ruth was a great mom and will be missed by her daughters. She is survived by her husband, Leo W. Raymond of Etna; two daughters, Eugenie and husband, Michael Clukey, of Sangerville and Pamela and husband, James Powers, of Etna; three brothers, Floyd and wife, Betty Elkins, of Washington, D.C., Phillip and wife, Belle Elkins, of Pittsfield and Sherman and wife, Emma Elkins, of Millinocket; a sister, Carolyn Preble of Corinth; four grandchildren, Crystal and husband, Colin Moore, of Delaware, Heather and husband, Sande Jacobson, of Pennsylvania, James and wife, Angelia Powers, of Hermon and Sabrina and husband, Jim Ivory, of Newport; six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela J. Temple. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
