RUTH M. LAKIN ELLSWORTH – Ruth M. Lakin, 93, died Dec. 24, 2003, at an Ellsworth hospital. She was born May 17, 1910, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Lorenzo and Carrie (Wentworth) Moore. Ruth was a member of the Ellsworth Women’s Club and the Irene Chapter of the O.E.S. She loved traveling and playing cards. She is survived by two daughters, Ethel M. Draper of West Palm Beach, Fla., Ferne Cottle and her husband, Robert, of Ellsworth; one son, Robert F. Lakin and his wife, Maxine, of Ellsworth and Arizona; three grandchildren, Jane Naimark of Evan City, Pa., Joan M. Smith of Ellsworth, John A. Chambers II of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Robby Gordon and Jennifer Littlefield; two great-great-grandchildren, Julia and Parker Littlefield; several nieces and nephews. If friends desire, contributions in Ruth’s memory may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, care of Anah Temple, P.O.
