NEW LONDON, Conn. – Ruth Louise Wadleigh, 90, of 46 Morgan St., New London, Conn., died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook, Conn. after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 16, 1914, in Orono, the daughter of Perely and Bessie McKinney Rogers. She married Ralph L. Wadleigh in Portland, on June 11, 1939. Mr. Wadleigh died Feb. 12, 1994. Mrs. Wadleigh was a 50-year member of Fidelity Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by her children; Roger and Carol Wadleigh of Centennial, Colo., Janice and Emerson Sartain of Old Lyme, Conn., Ralph Wadleigh II and JoAnn Wadleigh of New London, Conn., Susan and Rin Musser of Alexandria, Va., and Bruce Wadleigh and his companion, Nancy Donnelly, of New London, Conn.; one brother, Charles Rogers of Kittery; four grandchildren, six great-grand-children; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Butterfield Smith. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, Conn. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
