EAST MILLINOCKET – Ryan Stephen Gardner, 28, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006. He was the beloved son of Stephen Gardner and Robin (Rodgerson) Gardner. Ryan was born Dec. 23, 1977, in Millinocket. He attended Schenck High School, graduating in 1996. He also attended Washington County Technical College for a few years before working with Maine Energy. He enjoyed working around the state as a journeyman plumber and pipe fitter. He was an avid collector of fancy knives and enjoyed bow hunting and the outdoors. He was especially fond of his many friends and was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and nephew. Ryan is survived by his mother, Robin Gardner and her companion, Stuart Grant, of Columbia; his father, Steve Gardner and his companion, Cathy Hunter, of East Millinocket; his sister, Denise Gardner and her companion, Brian Gallant, of East Millinocket; his grandparents, Gilbert and Shirley Rodgerson of Millinocket; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his very special niece, Olivia Rian Gallant. Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Howard and Jeanette Gardner. Friends may greet the family 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
