HUDSON – Shane T. Wood-Norton, 8, died peacefully April 24, 2007, with his loving family around him at his home. He was born July 28, 1998, in Bangor. Shane courageously battled his cancer until his body grew too tired to fight anymore. Shane was an energetic little boy who truly loved life and showed that by his great smile, his laugh and lots of jokes. He loved his family, NASCAR, Spongebob and his stuffed monkey, who went everywhere with him. He was our super Shane and will forever be our hero. Shane made a lot of friends and touched many lives. He will be loved and missed by all. He will forever be in our hearts and minds. We look forward to seeing him again. John 5:28, 29, Isaiah 45:18, Rev. 21:4. Shane attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he had many special friends. One teacher from Morison Memorial School, which Shane attended, summed it up nicely in a poem. Shane loved life though it was cut short. As we all know NASCAR was his favorite sport. His frequent smiles and one-of-a-kind way. He sure knew how to brighten your day. Although he’ll be missed, remember what he’d say, “Play hard, get dirty and love life everyday!” Shane is survived by his loving parents, James and Nancy Norton; his sister, Michaela Wood-Norton, all of Hudson; grandparents, Sieglinde Morgan of Bradford and Imogene and Leonard Norton of Winterport; uncles and aunts, Elroy and wife, Mellisa Morgan, of Bradford, Sigrid and husband, Arthur Karr, of Clinton, Diane and husband, Dwayne Baker, of Winterport and Christina and husband, Sean Sullivan, of Greenbush; cousins, Justin Morgan of Bradford and Josh Karr of Clinton; plus many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; special friend, Sean Caisse of North Carolina. Family and friends that are able to attend may call 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2029 Broadway, Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
