PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Sherman E. Fogg, 77, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006. He was an original member of the board of directors of the Maine State Housing Authority in Augusta and a member of the board of directors at Brewers Savings Bank in Brewer. Sherman was a very successful businessman and founder of Sherman Homes, Inc., the largest home building company in Maine. He retired in 1977 and moved to Florida in 1980. He and his wife continued to travel, and he was an avid craftsman, hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Sheldon Fogg of Port Orange, Fla.; stepson, Richard J. and wife, Pamela Hazelton, of Portland; sister, Pauline Rowell of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law, Olive Fogg of Oak Hill, Fla.; grandchildren, Adam Fogg, Valerie Fogg, Richard Hazelton Jr. and Angela Lemlen; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Fogg. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at Baldwin Brothers Memorial Chapel, North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, Fla. The family will receive friends from noon Sunday to time of service. Committal will be at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens.
