CORINTH and KENDUSKEAG Shirley Mae Gallant, 76, the wife of the late Merle Gallant, went home to be with the Lord and Savior Aug. 5, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 30, 1928, in Exeter, the daughter of Gardner and Dora (Norton) Woodard. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of the Charleston Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed her church and family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Linda Leach and her husband, James, of Bangor, Brenda Trudel and her companion, Wayne Robinson of Hermon, Diane Kepner and her husband, Steve, of Somers, Conn., Janet Pinkham and her husband, Dennis, of Kenduskeag, Roger Gallant and his companion, Sandra Mavor of Bangor and Lisa Gulliver and her husband, Kevin, of Kenduskeag; two sisters, Barbara Sanford of Corinth and Florence Kimball of California; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the Charleston Pentecostal Church, where funeral services will be held 3 p.m. with Pastor Mathew Ward officiating. Burial will be in Kenduskeag Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to the Pinkham residence, 429 Kenduskeag-Levant Road, Kenduskeag, following the service for a time of fellowship and refreshment. Arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth.
