CASTLE HILL – Shirley S. Williams, 81, died Nov. 24, 2005, at the Presque Isle hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Castle Hill, to the late Lawrence and Lillian (Randall) Sharpe. Shirley retired in 1980 after working in Virginia. She returned home to Maine where she enjoyed a hobby of doing ceramics in her retirement years. She is survived by one daughter, Carla and her husband, John Gaines of Sperryville, Va.; daughter-in-law, Ann Williams of Castle Hill; 10 grandchildren, Bobbi Shiers of Virginia, Randy Williams and his wife, Betsy, of Florida, Lisa Bloom of Presque Isle, Tracy Williams of Castle Hill, Kathy and Debbie Williams of Virginia, Melissa Sears of Arkansas, Richard Turcott and Paula Turcott, both of Maine and Chris-Marie Pilkins of Virginia; nine great-grandchildren, Sean Michael and Kristen Williams of Florida, John Williams of Presque Isle, Adam Bloom of Castle Hill, Matthew and Katelyn Bingham of Arkansas and Cameron and Josh Pilkins of Virginia; one sister, Natalie Vinson and her husband, Harold, of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Keith E. Williams in 1982; a son, Alton Lawrence, of Naples in 1991; a daughter, Darla Shiers, in 1995; a son, Keith A. Williams, of Castle Hill in 2002; and sisters, Winifred Dorman and Margaret Jones, both of Virginia. At her request there will be no calling hours or funeral. There will be a private memorial service at the home of Ann Williams for the family on Sunday, Nov. 27. At the request of the family in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Memorial Stone Fund, P.O.
