HOWLAND – Shirley Bryer, 66, died Feb. 6, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born March 7, 1938, in Lincoln, the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Royal) Southard. Shirley graduated from Penobscot Valley High School in 1956. She enjoyed going to beano, and will be missed by many friends there. Shirley was predeceased by her husband of many years, Frank Bryer; and a son, Donald Nason. She is survived by one brother, Donald Southard of Largo, Fla.; two daughters, Vickie and her husband, James Lynch, of Howland and Billierae and her husband, Frank Ketch of Old Town; several grandchildren that Shirley was proud of, Chelsea and Jeremy Ketch of Old Town, Qeanna and Nicholas Lynch of Howland, Joshua Hughes of Caribou, Haley and Tyler Nason of Cape Cod, Mass. Shirley will be missed by all that knew her. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Clayton Crocker officiating. Spring interment will be in Howland Cemetery.
