BLUE HILL – Our precious angel blessed countless lives for seven months, Siena Nichole passed away peacefully Easter morning, April 8, 2007, in her sleep. Her tragic and inexplicable death shocked all those who knew and loved her. Proud parents, Shannon and Nichole Bebout were blessed with their angel 10:48 a.m. Sept. 8, 2006. Her arrival filled her entire family and everyone’s hearts with joy. Her beautiful spirit was apparent from her moment of birth. Siena lived a full seven months with us, and gave us all so much in such a short time. Her happiness was radiating. Her infectious smile lifted the spirits of all those she encountered. Her beautiful life touched not only her close family, but all those fortunate enough to have met her. She loved to share her smiles and giggles with anyone and everyone. She would even share her treasured rubber ducky with the elite few. Siena loved to listen to music, and would join in with Nichole’s singing on a daily basis. Her little heart thrived on her mother’s voice, and she would watch with knowing eyes, never doubting how much she was loved and cared for. The family’s morning routine was especially treasured by her father. Shannon would seize the opportunity for father-daughter time by prying Siena from Nichole’s arms and encouraging a few extra moments rest for Nichole. Dad and Siena would sit by the window, talking, flirting and absorbing each other’s love. Siena’s joys in life were many. She loved to travel, swim and play with her loved ones. Siena could spend a full day in the pool, armed with her double-ringed float and rubber ducky. Siena also enjoyed her frequent play groups and many beloved friends were created through these meetings. Siena never knew what it was like to seek attention, for it was always showered upon her by her entourage of admirers, not to mention her adoring aunts and family members. Her aunties were constantly vying for turns to hold Siena, and she thrived on all the love and attention given to her. She was not just her parent’s greatest joy, but her aunts and grandparents as well. Since the moment of Siena’s birth, she was destined for adventure. Her parents bestowed her with the travel bug, and she was the ideal travel companion. Occasional peeps were heard from her car seat, usually requesting more music, snacks or a toy. Siena first traveled to Acadia with her Granny in October. In November she visited North Conway, N.H., where she enjoyed a ride on the polar express. She crested the top of Blue Hill Mountain in December, while her grandfather visited. January brought a trip to Sugarloaf mountain, and in February she even cheered on the Deer Isle boys as they won the state championship. Her ultimate travel adventure began three weeks ago when she ventured to her Auntie Laine’s in Georgia, where the family united and experienced the most joyous vacation imaginable. Siena’s high spirits enabled her whole family to have the vacation of a lifetime. Her easygoing nature and her adventurous spirit let us all be at ease as we visited Saint Simons, Savannah, Jekyll Island and Charleston, S.C. Her walk on the beach in the outer banks holds a special memory for her parents. She is remembered and cherished by her extensive family throughout the East coast. Her southern family begins in Charleston, S.C., with her great-grandparents, Dominic and Arlene Stabile; her grandparents, Ricky Bebout, Debbie Bebout and Steve Crider, as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Four generations of Blue Hill women were created when Siena was born, great-grandmother, Helen Butler; grandmother, Janet Torrey “Gramma JJ”; and her proud mother, Nichole; great-grandparents, Arthur and Pauline Astbury were blessed with Siena’s frequent visits to Penobscot. Siena has three very proud and loving aunts, whose love is unconditional, unending, and held forever in their hearts, Aunt Laine Astbury, Kaiya Torrey and Meredith Torrey “Auntie Laine-Laine,” “Kai-Kai,” and “Mer-Mer.” We will be forever blessed with her memory and will hold her close in our hearts for all time. Siena held a special place in her great-aunt Nancy’s heart as well as in her Nonna’s. Siena spirit enriched our lives in ways we never imagined possible. Siena’s arrival was intensely anticipated by her parents and loved ones. She was so wanted. Her father and mother loved her with fierceness. They say they have never known such a love could exist. This amazing and inspirational love was witnessed by all those around them. She will always be our precious little angel. Siena’s viewing will be held 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
