MILO – Spc. William C. Koelsch III, 23, died April 9, 2008, at Fort Polk, La., as a result of a vehicle accident. He was born Dec. 15, 1984, in Bangor, the son of William C. Koelsch Jr. and Brenda (Jackson) Koelsch. Bill was a graduate of Penquis Valley High School and had been, at the time of his death, serving with the 509 Infantry Unit (Airborne) at Fort Polk, La. He is survived by his father, William C. Koelsch Jr. of Corpus Christie, Texas; his mother, Brenda Koelsch of Fort Fairfield; his sister, Lisa Ann Koelsch of Waterboro; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Phoebe Jackson of Dover-Foxcroft; several aunts and uncles, Deborah Burns and Carol Lemmon, both of Brownville Junction, Charles W. Koelsch of Brownville Village, Jeannie Currier of Fort Fairfield, Jeanette Snide of Dover-Foxcroft and Robert Jackson Jr. of Bangor. Friends are invited to visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, with the Rev.
