PETERSBURG, Fla. Stanley O. Thompkins, 78, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Edward White Hopsital, Florida. He was born in Presque Isle. He came here in 1995 from Meriden, Conn. He was a maintenance worker in the jewelry business. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Alice; a daughter, Kathy Mayer of Willington, Conn.; three sons, Stanley Jr. of Glastonbury, Conn., Terry of Junction City, Kan., and Lawrence of Bristol, Conn.; a sister, Zelma Wright of Haines City, Fla.; two brothers, Lawrence of Meriden, Conn., and Jack of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial Park Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.
