EAST MILLINOCKET – Stanley P. Topa, 94, died Dec. 10, 2004, in Millinocket. He was born in West Virginia on Oct. 7, 1910, the son of Joseph and Anna Topa. Stanley lived in New Britain, Conn., most of his adult life where he met and married his wife, Albertine (Thibodeau) Topa. He was an active member of the Polish Club and loved card games, especially canasta and cribbage. He was a quality control inspector at North & Judd factory in New Britain until his retirement in 1972, when they moved to East Millinocket. He resided at 22 Elm Street until 1998. Stanley was known for his generosity and grand personality. He was a communicant of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in East Millinocket. He is survived by two sisters, Anna Armstrong and Helen Kardok; two nieces, Susan Kardok and Barbara Toleafra, all of New Britain, Conn.; a step-grandson, Peter Misiura Jr. of Medway; stepgranddaughters, Sharon Wheel of Levant and Jacqueline Dart of Wayland, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife, Albertine; and three brothers, Joseph, Frank, and John Topa. Graveside committal services will be held at 10:15 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2005, at East Millinocket Cemetery. Local arrangements by R. L. Bouchard Funeral Home.
