DEXTER – Stella M. Page, 85, died Feb. 10, 2005. She was born Dec. 6, 1919, at St. Francis, a daughter of Alfred and Fabiane (Oakes) Deschaine. She attended Catholic schools in Canada before moving to Dexter. Stella was a member of the Dexter Pentecostal Church and cooked for the Dexter Christian Academy. She also volunteered at Dexter Healthcare before becoming a resident there herself. She is survived by two sons, Charles Jr. and Robert; four grandchildren, Melody Gerry of Detroit, Fran McMann of Portland, Charles Page III and Andrew Clifford, both of Dexter; seven great-grandchild-ren; a niece, Lillian Sawyer of Newport; two nephews, Merrill Dollar of Bradley Beach, N.J., and William Lemerise of Stanton, Va. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private committal and burial will be held at the family lot, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter.
