OLD TOWN – Stella R. Clark, 84, wife of the late Fay S. Clark, died Sept. 7, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Old Town, a daughter of Thomas and Louise (King) Vaillancourt. She enjoyed playing Beano and doing ceramics. She is survived by a son, Wayne Clark and his girlfriend, Stephanie Demers, of Old Town; a daughter, Mary Lou Spencer and her husband, Carroll, of Old Town; a son-in-law, Peter Grant of Bangor; three grandchildren, Christine Spencer of Old Town, Rebecca Grant of Bangor and Brian Grant of Portsmouth, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Abbott, Gabrielle Spencer and Carly Mae Sweeney; a brother, Francis Vaillancourt of Old Town; three sisters, Yvonne Dennis of Massachusetts, Rose Treadwell of Scarborough and Theresa Carr of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fay in 1988; a son, Robert Clark; a daughter, Carolyn Grant; four brothers, Harry Vaillancourt, Levi Vaillancourt, O’Neil Vaillancourt and Wilfred Vaillancourt; and two sisters Elaine Brown and Lorraine Sanders. Friends may call noon Monday Sept. 11, until time of dismissal to the church at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Wilfred Labbe, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
