CARMEL – Stephanie A. Slamm, 64, passed away June 8, 2006, after a brief illness surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Salvatore and Stephanie (Wolsky) LoRe. She worked many years in the travel industry as a dedicated and passionate travel agent and traveled extensively throughout the world. She enjoyed assisting her clients’ travel around the world as well. She also was a master gardener and loved to nurture her vegetable and flower gardens. She is survived by her life partner, Robert C. Day; three daughters, Victoria Ann Kenyon and her husband, Brad, Donna M. Allen and her husband, Peter, and Andrea M. Sewall and her husband, Levi; brother, Joseph P. LoRe of New Jersey; sister, Julianne Jones of Florida; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Stephanie’s life 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Isaac Farrar Mansion, 17 Second St., Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stephanie Slamm Memorial Fund, care of TD Banknorth, 508 Wilson St., Brewer, ME 04412. All proceeds will be used for a commemorative marker at one of her favorite places, Step Falls Preserve, Newry.
