CROSS LAKE – Steve Comfort died unexpectedly July 17, 2007, at Cary Medical Center. He was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Canandaigua, N.Y. He was predeceased by his parents, Stew and Dottie (Swank) Comfort. He is survived by his best friend, his wife, Karen; his “little girl,” Kimberly; and three awesome grandchildren whom he carries in his heart forever, Megan, Ryan and Christian. He leaves behind four brothers and sisters, Pat, Jim, Bonnie Dennis, and their families. He is also survived by his Maine family, loving father and mother-in-law, Dick and Opal Smith, also Joe and Kathy Smith, Elaine Sirene, and Steve and Kim Smith; nieces and nephews. His gentle soul, kind words and loving heart will be remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers of donations, light a candle, say a prayer and give Steve a smile, he can see it now!
