VAN BUREN – Dennis Berube, 84, died July 18, 2007, at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born June 24, 1923, in Van Buren, the son of John and Yvonne (Dubay) Berube. He was self-employed as a potato farmer and woodcutter for many years. Mr. Berube is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Levesque) Berube of Van Buren; three sons, Daniel Berube of Montana, Gilman Berube and his wife, Diane, of Frenchville, and Dennis Berube Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of London, England; 10 daughters, Homerine Burgess of Chillicothe, Ohio, Velma Beaupre and her husband, Gerard, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Jacqueline Walker and her husband, Elmer, of Drummond, New Brunswick, Claudette Bourgoin and her husband, Maurice, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Patricia Plourde and her husband, Herve, of Portage Lake, Adeline Beaulieu of Caribou, Linda Evans and her husband, Keith, of Chillicothe, Ohio, Rachel Cormier and her husband, Guy, of Montreal, Quebec, Rita Aubin and her companion, Daniel Laforest, of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Caroline Berube of Laguna, Calif.; 36 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two granddaughters, Bridgette Beaulieu, in 1986 and Brenda Plourde, in 1994. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
