STUART NORMAN DOANE ENFIELD – Stuart Norman Doane, 63, husband of Betty Anne (Davis) Doane, died July 14, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Enfield, the son of Norman and Marion (Milton) Doane. Stuart graduated from Howland High School in 1960. He was a quiet man who enjoyed raising beef animals, gardening, doing mechanic work and building. He was truly a “jack of all trades.” In addition to his mother, Marion; and his wife, Betty, he is survived by three brothers and their wives, Milton and Polly Doane and Myron and Edna Doane, all of Enfield and Gerald and Joanne Doane of Bangor; a sister, Joyce, and her husband, Barrie Sutherland, of Enfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his mother-in-law, Hazel Davis of West Enfield; brothers-in-law, Sidney Davis of West Enfield and David Davis and his wife, Jolayne, of Milford. In addition to his father, Norman, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Ralph Davis. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Emma Jean Cook officiating. Interment will be in Enfield Village Cemetery.
