MONROE – Susan C. Haley, 57, beloved wife of 34 wonderful years to Harold J. Haley and loving mother of Carole Haley of Milwaukee, passed away Feb. 10, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born May 30, 1950, in Waldoboro, the daughter of Dorothey E. Kidney and the late Gerald R. Kidney Sr. of Waldoboro. Susan graduated from Waldoboro High School, Class of 1968, and from Andover Business School. Susan was one of eight performers selected for Marsh River Singers and was active in community theater and many choral presentations. In addition to her husband, her mother and her daughter, Susan will be sorely missed by her brother, Jerry Kidney of Gainesville, Fla.; and sister, Dani Sue Kidney-Goff of Warren and their families. As a member of Frankfort Congregational Church choir, a church secretary at Hampden United Methodist Church and a participant in events at Brooks and Monroe Congregational Churches, she will be sadly missed by members of those congregations. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, Bucksport. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Frankfort Congregational Church. Interment will be at Harmony Place Cemetery, Monroe, in the spring.
