PITTSFIELD – Sydney J. Wright, 70, died Aug. 11, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1936, in Ryegate, Vt., a son of Sydney and Celia (Vance) Wright Sr. After moving to Maine, he graduated from Brewer High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a self-employed upholsterer. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura (Lister) Wright, July 15, 2006. He is survived by three stepchildren, Lynn Hudson of Plymouth, Robin Janda of Bowden, Ga., and Robert Coffey of Tyler, Texas; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no public services. A family committal service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
