TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. – Sylvia Delia Stevens Witherly, 91, of 301 Rainwater Drive, Toccoa Falls, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Garland, the daughter of the late Maurice and Mable Crockett Stevens. Having lived most of her life in Maine, she lived 30 years in Florida and moved to Toccoa, Ga., three years ago to live and be cared for by her daughter, Sandra Nickerson. She was a member of the First Alliance Church, Florida. She loved animals, roses and country music. She especially enjoyed living in sunny Port Charlotte, Fla. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Corine (Rene) Dinsmore of Holden and Madeline Gudroe of Dexter. Survivors include three daughters, Shirley May Judkins, Sandra Nickerson and Rosalie Wyman, who reside in Toccoa, Ga.; 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Dover South Mills Cemetery, Maine.
