MADAWASKA – Sylvio Morin, 80, died Sept. 13, 2004, at a Madawaska nurs-ing home. He was born in St. David, Oct. 1, 1923, the son of Ernest and Nathalie (Lavoie) Morin. He was a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Roberson) Morin of Madawaska; four daughters, Joan Long of Baker Lake, N.B., Canada, Linda Dionne of Frenchville, Mary Ann Contois of Biddeford, Tammy Gould of Canton, Ohio; two sons, Melvin Morin of Biddeford, Philip Morin of Bristol, Conn.; one brother, Gilbert Morin of Porterville, Calif.; three sisters, Bernadette Collin of Lille, Ernestine Boone of Biddeford, Martha Jewett of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren, one step-grand-daughter; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
