CORINNA – Terrance (Terry) Malcolm Coulombe, 56, died suddenly in his sleep Feb. 20, 2005. He was born July 29, 1948, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and attended Saint Mary’s Academy in Champlain, N.Y. Terry was the beloved third son of Viola (Martin) and Ivan Coulombe, both of whom have already passed away. He leaves behind his sister, Laura Mae (Coulombe) Laporte and her husband, Leo, of Peru, N.Y.; his brothers, Michael Coulombe and his wife, Marge of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Ronald Coulombe and his wife, Judy, of Sodus, N.Y., Donald and his wife, Desiree Coulombe of Tolleson, Ariz. and Daniel and his wife, Debbie Coulombe, of West Chazy, N.Y. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was best remembered as a war hero. He served in the Marines in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969 and was awarded a Purple Heart with three clusters, a Service Medal, a Sharp Shooter Badge, and a National Defense Medal for his time there. Terry was an interior and exterior house painter. He was an avid gardener and was especially fond of his roses and asparagus. He was the former husband of Mary E. Zola-Minnery and beloved father to Terri Lynn (Coulombe) Jay and her husband, Gregory, of South Hadley, Mass., and to Jennifer Erin (Coulombe) Lutterloh and her husband, Robert, of Newport News, Va. He was the loving husband to Donna (Rohan) Coulombe and father to Kelly James Coulombe of Palmyra and his wife, Celeste and father of Travis Jon Coulombe and his “future” wife, Kristen Irish, of Dexter. He was the proud grandfather to Joeseph Anthony Kastrinakis of Massachusetts, Lindsay Marie Lutterloh of Virginia, Dimitri John Kastrinakis of Massachusetts and Maya Grace Coulombe of Maine. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Following the wake, the family will gather at The Watering Hole in Dexter. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, at the Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating.
