BANGOR – Thelma Bowler, 102, died April 6, 2007, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 27, 1904, in Danforth, the daughter of Charles B. Godsoe and Olivia A. (Morse) Godsoe. She graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1923, and from Gilman Commercial School, Bangor. Mrs. Bowler was the wife of the late Leslie J. Bowler, who died in March 1971. Mrs. Bowler was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Bangor, and a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston. She was a member of the former Shuman Club and the 19th Century Club, Bangor. Surviving are a son, William E. Bowler of Nantucket, Mass.; a grandson, Stephen W. Bowler of San Francisco; a niece, Hope G. St. Clair; and a nephew, W. Homer Godsoe, both of Bangor. Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Jacqueline MacDermott, First Reader, First Church of Christ Scientist, Bangor, officiating.
