ORONO and OLD TOWN Thelma J. St. Peter, 63, passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Orono and went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, July 20, 2004. She was born in Old Town, Dec. 28, 1940, the daughter of the late George W. and Verlie L. (Hamilton) Wilbur. Thelma was a graduate of Old Town High School and worked for James River Paper Mill. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, fishing and working in her garden. She loved eating lobster and enjoyed going out to eat especially at Bugaboo Creek. She will be remembered for her loving and fun personality. Thelma is survived and will be sadly missed by a son, Jimmy and his wife, Penny, of Bucksport; son, Richard Wood of Florida; daughter, Sandy Wood and her husband, Alvin, of Bangor; daughter, Cheryl LeBlond and her husband, Kevin, of Millinocket; seven grandchildren, Danielle Lane, Courtnie Wood, Kalie LeBlond, Jonathan Singleton, Justin LeBlond, David Wood and Jimmy Calvert Wood; one great-grandson, Skyler Lane; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Charlotte Sproul of Connecticut and Leona Boyle of Texas. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald Wilbur and Melvin Wilbur. A graveside committal service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday at the Alton Cemetery on the Bennoch Rd. in Alton, with Pastor Michael Donato officiating. Friends and family are invited to Thelma’s home, 6 Old Kelly Rd. in Orono, immediately following the service for a luncheon and continued remembrance.
