BANGOR – Thelma (Snow) Pierce, 96, died April 9, 2006. She was born May 24, 1909, in Atkinson, the daughter of Herbert P. Snow and Minnie (Campbell) Snow. She graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1926, and from Colby College in 1930. She taught in the public high schools of Bradford, Milo and Brownville Junction. She lived with her family in East Machias, Clinton, Eliot and Brewer. While in Eliot, she was active in Cub Scouts and WSCS of the Methodist Church. For the past 20 years, she had been a resident of Bangor. She was interested in theater, reading, camping, traveling and crafts of various kinds. She was predeceased by her son, Edward of Bangor. She is survived by her son, David and his wife, Pamella, of Brewer; her grandchildren, Kimberely Pierce of Albany, Calif. and Brian Pierce and his wife, Amy, of Gray. She has two great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Benjamin Pierce. At her request there will be no funeral service. She will be buried at the Atkinson Corner Cemetery.
