PLEASANT POINT – Theresa J. Moore, 80, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Theresa was born April 18, 1928, in Pleasant Point, the daughter of the late Justin Francis and Susie Moore. She enjoyed attending all of the Native American ceremonies. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by a sister, Alice (Quinn) Francis; and her long time companion, Charles Manual Homan. Surviving are her sister, Charlotte Glover of Indian Township; her godchild and niece, Justina Niles; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Leon Socabeson; and many other special friends, including her extended family at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home, where she received excellent loving care. Friends may call starting 3 p.m. Saturday until 2 p.m. Monday at the home of Deanna Francis, Nation Ground Lane, Pleasant Point. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Monday at St. Ann R.C. Church, Pleasant Point. Burial will be afterwards at Tribal Cemetery.
