THERESA M. MACK HAMPDEN – Theresa M. Mack, formerly of Delmar, N.Y., died May 2, 2007, at her home. She was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Severino) Coppola. Theresa was born and grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., graduating from Buffalo State College. She served as a major in the Womens’ Army Corps during World War II with Gen. Eisenhower’s Allied Headquarters in Britain, France and Germany. She completed masters and doctoral studies at Syracuse University and served in home economics and educational research positions in Mississippi and New York. She married Frank J. Mack in 1952. They resided in Delmar, N.Y., until 2004, when they moved to Hampden. In addition to her very loved husband, survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann McGuire of Brewer and husband, Frank; her adored grandchildren, Joseph, Anne and Peter McGuire; sister-in-law, Angela Coppola of Buffalo, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Edward Mack and wife, Arden, of Texas; and many nieces, nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Irene; and brothers, Joseph Coppola and Fr. Paul Coppola of Buffalo, N.Y. Family and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Hampden, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be at Glens Falls, N.Y.
