BREWER – Thomas “Tommy” Laughlin went home peacefully to be with the Lord July 5, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 21, 1935, in Bangor, the son of Percy and Helena (Kearns) Laughlin. Tommy was a kind man, who was always thinking of others and he loved to be around his family and friends. He was very active with the Salvation Army and Bangor Area Food Bank, volunteering his services. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Leroy of Cincinnati, and her family; his sister, Joan Poole and her family in the Bangor area; his brother, Eugene Laughlin and his family in the Brewer/Holden area; and his brother, William Laughlin and his family in the Levant/Hermon area. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Marguerite Robillard and Marie Thurston; three brothers, Robert Laughlin, Kenneth Laughlin and Francis “Bunny” Burnett; and his longtime companion, Claire.
