BUCKSPORT – Thomas H. Johnson, 52, died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. He was born March 15, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Ernest S. and Lorna M. (Shirley) Johnson. Tom was a graduate of Bucksport High School, Class of 1973. He loved football and baseball, was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hiking. Tom was a very giving person; he was the type of person that would give you the shirt off of his back. He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Leavitt; two grandsons, Zackary and Taylor; two sisters, Shelley Pierce and her husband, Donnie, and Marilyn Daigle and her husband, Michael; one brother, Robert Johnson and his wife, Linn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Matthew, Melissa, Kristina, D.J. and Amanda; as well as a great-nephew, Chase; and a special cousin, Carl. He was predeceased by his parents. Family and friends will gather for visitation 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, until the time of the memorial service 10 a.m. at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating.
