TECUMSEH, Mo. – “Tom” Seymour, formerly of Corinth, died July 2, 2008, in West Plains, Mo., after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 31, 1943, in Glen Dale, W.Va., a son of Joseph W. and Gladys Virginia (Tucker) Seymour. Tom served his country in the U.S. Air Force, 1961-1969, and flew on rescue missions as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War. Tom was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, Bangor, and worked as a supervisor at the Bangor Post Office and Eastern Maine Processing and Distribution Center, Hampden. Tom was an avid bowler in leagues at Family Fun Lanes and Heritage Bowling Center. Tom is survived by his wife of 15 years, Barbara Seymour of Tecumseh, Mo.; two daughters, Karen Kasprzak of Palmyra and Vivian Riley of Vidor, Texas; one brother, Paul Seymour of Vidor, Texas; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and his son, Forrest Seymour. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
