EDDINGTON – Tracy A. Stoner, 72, of Eddington, born Oct. 31, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, after a brief illness. Tracy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1952-1956). He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 12 of Bangor. Tracy was a carpenter by trade for many years in California and Las Vegas, Nev. before retiring. Surviving are his wife, LaVerne (Bissell) Stoner of Eddington; three sons, Tracy Jr. and his wife, Roxanne, of Riverside, Calif., Michael of Quail Valley, Calif. and John of Riverside, Calif.; three daughters, Carol Cowles of Riverside, Calif., Diane Stoner of Bakersfield, Calif. and Leigh Rosenberger and her husband, Ed, of Bakersfield, Calif.; the mother of his children, Clara Jewitt of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three stepchildren, Ronald Vilasuso and his wife, Sandy, of Orrington, Jennifer Willoughby and her husband, Don, of Hermon and Julie O’Connell of Brewer; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by a longtime friend, Bill Dawson of California. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Theda (Mifflin) Stoner; a son, David, two brothers and five sisters. At his request, he will be cremated and burial will follow at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Cremation arrangements by Cremation Basics, Inc., Bangor.
