FAIRFIELD – Tracy Lynn Nash, 41, went with the angels Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at home with the love of her family embracing her after a 21-month courageous battle with cancer. To everyone that knew her, she was an inspiration for her courage, strength and determination. Tracy was born Dec. 16, 1966, in Manchester, Conn. She grew up in Vernon, Conn. At age 16, she met her husband-to-be and after a long courtship they were married. They made their home in Fairfield and after seven years and three IVF tries, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Tessa, who was the love of their lives. Tracy made her career as a master professional pet groomer and belonged to both the National and New England Pet Grooming Associations. She practiced her trade for several years at New England Animal Hospital, Waterville, until the cancer took away her ability to perform to her own exacting standards. She enjoyed spend-ing time with her daughter and working around her yard, especially in her flower gardens. Tracy is survived by her husband, Rick Nash; her daughter, Tessa Lynn Nash, both of Fairfield; her mother, Leslie Ames of Vernon, Conn.; her father, Dwayne Ames and stepmother, Sheila Ames, of Pittsfield; brother, D. Lee Ames of Vernon, Conn.; sister, Darcy Ames of Hartford; grandmother, Berenice Wollman of Farmington, Conn.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the funeral home with Pastor Al Worden officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made to the Tessa Lynn Nash Trust Fund, Savings Bank of Maine, Waterville, ME 04901.
