PERRY and OAKLAND – Vera Alice Kinney, 81, went home to be with the Lord, whom she loved, served and sang about, Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, surrounded by her family. Alice was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Waite, daughter of John and Vera (McClain) Renaud. She was a member of Perry Bible Fellowship. Alice enjoyed cooking, reading, flowers, canning vegetables, and visiting with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Ripley; a brother, Norman Renaud; and a granddaughter, Bonnie Gail Johnson. Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Marshall Kinney; two sisters, Rose Bean of Topsfield and Margaret Phelps of Waite; a brother, Edward and Charlotte Renaud of Eastport; sons, James and Sheila of Franklin, Eugene and Marilyn of Amherst, Va., Gary and Iva of Pembroke, Dana and Virginia of Summersville, S.C., Dennis and Lorraine of Perry, Timothy and Lavada of Montoursville, Pa., Terry and Dawn of Perry, Leroy and Karen of Auburn, Mass., Gerry of Eddington and Peter and Trinda of Sunrise, Fla.; daughters, Betty and Lewis Pottle of Gansevoort, N.Y., Marion and Brian Rice of Baileyville, Nancy and Skip Johnson of Perry, Deborah and Stan Brown of Livermore and Linda and Don Niles of Oakland; 39 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Perry Bible Fellowship, Route 1, Perry. A funeral service will begin 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held after at Restlawn Cemetery, Perry.
