DERRY, N.H. – Vaughn R. Wright, 72, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, N.H. Mr. Wright was born May 7, 1933, in Greenfield, a son of the late Albion A. and Beatrice M. (White) Wright. He was a resident of Derry for 32 years, formerly living in Scarborough. Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Army. In 1962, he was employed as a machinist for Fayscott in Dexter; then went to work for Bliss Portland, in Portland, until 1973. In 1973, he moved to Derry, where he worked for Nashua Industrial in Nashua, N.H. for many years. He then worked for Aris Engineering in Haverhill, Mass., where he was employed as a manager. In 1988, he started his own company, Cobra Machining Corp. in Londonderry, N.H. He was a history buff, had an engineering mind, had a good sense of humor and enjoyed working on cars. He made friends easily, was well liked, and would help anyone at any time. He enjoyed camping and loved his chihuahua, Suzie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlotte A. Wright of Derry; two sons, Brian R. Wright of Tamworth, N.H., Gregory V. Wright of Derry, N.H.; two daughters, Cheryl A. Skillin of Weare, N.H., Evelyn M. Boles of Derry; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Wright of Scarborough; a sister, Betty Paulhas of Enfield, Conn.; an uncle, Donald White of Clearwater, Fla.; two nieces and two nephews. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 at the funeral home.
