BATH – Venita I. Lowery, 89, of Center Street died Wednesday Feb. 9, 2005, at her home. She was born May 18, 1915, in South Brewer, a daughter of Harry M. and Rose Paulet Harden and educated in the Brewer schools. She worked at Eastern Maine Manufacturing and moved to Bath during World War II and worked at the Bath Iron Works, and later as a beautician. She married Arthur E. Lowery and they made their home in Bath. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and enjoyed rose gardening and activities at church. She was predeceased by two brothers, Merritt Hayden of Brewer and William Hayden of South Brewer; a sister, Theresa Mazerolle of Skowhegan. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Hayden of Bath; a sister, Sister Mary Bernadette Hayden, R.S.M. Diocesas Sisters of Mercy of South Portland; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Dingley of Bath; two great-grandsons, Mike Dingley of Florida and Chris Dingley of Texas. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
