BANGOR – Vera A. Joy, 89, died peacefully Jan. 10, 2006, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Addison, the daughter of Isaac and Bertha B. (Norton) Crawford. Vera was a member of Columbia Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her cousins, Christy Norton, James Norton and wife, Ellen, Richard Norton and wife, Rose Marie, all of Addison, Nancy French and husband, Vern, of Columbia, Arlene Alexander of Cherryfield, Emma Jean Norton of Winterport and Darrell Norton of Jonesport. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Joy in 1981; and by a special cousin, Philip E. Norton in 2005. A graveside memorial service at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor, will be announced in the spring.
