LITTLETON and HOULTON Vera F. Campbell, 88, died Nov. 17, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1919, at Moro Plantation, the daughter of Ambrose and Stella (Sowers) Anderson. Vera grew up in a large family and began working out at an early age. She then married the late George J. Campbell and the two of them worked together on the family farm in Littleton and raised a family. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Lewallen and her husband, Dennis, their children, Sheila, who was Vera’s care giver for the last 18 years, Dennis, Vicki and Peter, all of the Houlton area, and Linda Foster and her husband, Dana, and their children, Scott and Chris, all of Littleton; 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great- great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is one sister, Doris Islam of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, George; six sisters and nine brothers. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home. Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery.
