BAILEYVILLE – Vern Landry, 82, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at his home in Baileyville. He was born July 10, 1921, the son of Ernest and Sarah Landry. He served in World War II with the U.S. Army. Vern retired from Georgia Pacific after 34 years of service. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Herring and her husband, Marty, of Camp Hill, Pa.; a son, Gary Landry and his wife, Paula, of Richmond; a sister, Nina Huntley of Baileyville; two grandchildren, Shawna Freas and her husband, Steve, and Scott Herring; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Abigal, and Meghan; a special sister-in-law, Barbara Landry; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Landry; and four brothers Earl, Emery, Wilfred and Leo. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, by Sherry Sivret of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church at Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements by Scott-Wilson Funeral Home.
