CARIBOU – Vicki Lynn Plourde, 52, died late Friday night, June 30, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. She was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Philip Higgins and Mona Cyr. She had worked at the Department of Human Services in Caribou and at the Catholic Charities of Maine. She loved to crochet, read, cook, do cake decorating and enjoyed collecting angels. She is survived by her husband, Rod Plourde of Caribou; two sons, Gary Martin Jr. and his fiance, Sarah, of Caribou, and Adam R. Plourde of Caribou; two stepsons, Roderick T. Plourde and his companion, Claysie, of Easton and Dean Plourde and his wife, Heidi, of Berwick; three half brothers, Danny, Roger and Kevin Higgins, all of Presque Isle; two sisters, Bonnie Neff of Rochester Hills, Mich. and Angelina Atiles of Stanford, Conn.; three half sisters, Heidi Fichthorn of Manerville, Pa., Jeannie Higgins of Limerock and Lisa Dow of Windham; four grandchildren, Austin Plourde, Jacob Martin, Raven and Clay Plourde. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with the Rev. Carroll J. Plourde officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at New Holy Rosary Cemetery, Caribou.
