LINCOLN – Viola (Collier) Hawkins, 91, wife of the late Randolph Hawkins, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 23, 2008, at her home. She was born July 23, 1916, daughter of Ora and Laura (Butters) Collier. She devoted her entire life to her family and loved ones. She enjoyed nothing more than cooking and baking for family and friends, and did so right up to her last day here. She was a wonderful, generous woman, always ready to help any way she could. In addition to her parents and her husband, Randolph, she was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Richards; and a brother, Lawrence Collier. She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Hawkins) Theriault and her husband, Carrol, of Howland; a sister, Florentine “Tiny” Whittier and her husband, Alfred, of Lincoln; two grandsons, Mark Theriault of Lincoln and Steven Theriault of West Enfield; four great-grand-children, Ashley Speed and her husband, Gene, of Maxfield, Cassandra Bouchard of St. Louis, Steven J. Theriault of Bangor and Skye Theriault of Lincoln; two great-great-grand-daughters, Karley of Bangor and Audrina of St. Louis; many nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Carol Webster and Staci Libby. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
