LINNEUS – Virginia Hanning Caron, 78, passed away Oct. 11, 2004, at her sons home in Wytopitlock. She was born Aug. 9, 1926, in Monticello, the daughter of Roland and Laura (Stackhouse) Hanning. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Caron She is survived by six sons, Leon and Serena Caron of Danforth, Terry and Jolene Caron of Wytopitlock, Jeff and Violet Caron of Wytopitlock, Gerry Caron of Cary, Ollie and Janet Caron of Linneus, Ronnie and Heidi Caron of Houlton; three daughters, Sandra Foster of Houlton, Nancy and Wayne Randall, and Pamela and Charles Simon, all of Linneus; two sons-in-law, Darrell Lee of Danforth, Donald Delong of Canada; a brother, Harold Hanning of Plantsville, Conn.; three sisters, Patricia “Theresa” Gardner of Waterford, Helen Michaud of Southington, Conn., Lois Wharton of Southington, Conn. She is survived by 42 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Harold Caron; and three daughters, Judy Caron, Sheryl Lee and Janet Delong; brothers, Lawrence Gilbert and Merle Hanning; sisters, Sylvia Lyons, Muriel Brewer, Dorothy Miller; and a great-grandson, Tarry Gillman. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Elaine Jordan and Pastor Bernie Jordan officiating. Interment will be in Haynesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate in Virginia’s memory to Bowers Funeral Home, P.O.
