SEARSPORT – Virginia (Robbins) Pomeroy, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Dec. 30, 2006, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born April 2, 1920, in Deer Isle, daughter of William and Beaulah (Morey) Robbins. Virginia was a member of Crossroads to Calvary Church, Morrill. Mrs. Pomeroy is survived by seven children, Ralph Robbins of Pittston, Shirley Grant and her husband, John, of Stockton Springs, Phyllis Talgo and her companion, Donald Chamberlain, of Appleton, Hugh Pomeroy Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Searsport, Steve Pomeroy and his wife, Wanda, of Searsport, Dennis Pomeroy and his wife, Sheryl, of Searsport, Greg Talgo and his companion, Jessica, of Searsport; one stepdaughter, Myrtle DeWatt of Rockland; one brother, Alpheus Robbins and his wife, Shirley, of Stockton Springs; many grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great grand-children, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Pomeroy Sr. in 1997; son, Herbert Robbins; two daughters, Myrtle Robbins and Marie Robbins; three brothers, Frank Robbins, Edmund Robbins and William Robbins; and three sisters, Madeline Robbins, Bernice Gildard and Elletta Dube. Visitation for family and friends will be 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
