STOCKTON SPRINGS Vivian Alice (Reynolds) Harriman, 81, died Sept. 14, 2006, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born Jan. 9, 1925, in Westbrook, daughter of Charles Edward and Avis (Cook) Reynolds. Vivian was a mother who was not only very involved with her children and grandchildren, but also a kind and good neighbor who helped others when sick, and people never left her house without a piece of fruit, pie or a treat. She is survived by seven children, Lillian Thurston of Veazie, Mary Ann Campbell and husband, Dan, of Zephyrhills, Fla., George Harriman Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, of Prospect, Judith Largay of Portland, Gerald Harriman of Stockton Springs, Keith Harriman and wife, Kathy, of Gray, Gloria Basford and husband, Adrian, of Winterport; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Laura Townsend, Dorothy Stevens, Lawrence Reynolds, Roland Reynolds; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, George Harriman Sr.; and brother, Floyd Reynolds. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stockton Springs Community Church with Pastor Aaron Dudley officiating. Interment will be at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Stockton Springs. There will be a gathering of conversation and refreshment in the church hall after the services.
