WINN – Warnita B. “Kitty” (Murdough) McLeod, 83, wife of the late Everett “Bozo” McLeod, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 25, 1923, in North Lyndeborough N.H., the daughter of Warren and Rebecca (Avery) Murdough. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 7409 in Mattawamkeag. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard sales. She is survived by four sons, John “Richie” Putnam of New Hampshire, Ronald “Buster” and Patty Putnam of Medway, Douglas and Jeanne McLeod of East Winn and Albert and Sherry McLeod of Wesley; five daughters, Naida and Norman Brown of Mattawamkeag, Sharon and Robert Powers of East Millinocket, Cheryl and Gerry Smith of Burlington, Mary and Bob Wyman of Winn and Lycia and Victor Savage of Enfield; her twin brother, Warren B. Murdough of New Hampshire; a son-in-law, Ron Mathewson; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one daughter, Nancy Mathewson; six brothers and sisters, Charlie, Alvin, Doris, Emiline, Mary and Ada-belle. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Chet Dana officiating. Interment will be at East Winn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Colonial Acres Activities Fund. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
